Carter Flowers, Floyd’s Technician Apprentice speaks at Gering High School's appreciation breakfast.

On April 19, Floyd’s Truck Center had the pleasure of participating in Gering High School’s work-based learning appreciation breakfast. This event celebrated the valuable contributions of local businesses to the education and career development of high school students.

Floyd’s Truck Center was proud to be part of this initiative, providing hands-on experience that helped students like Carter Flowers solidify their career goals. Carter, who initially considered a career in HVAC, discovered a passion for diesel technology through his time at Floyd’s. His experience confirmed his interest in pursuing a career in this field.

The appreciation breakfast highlighted the impact of such partnerships. Each business partner, including Floyd’s, was recognized with a certificate from their student interns, showcasing the importance of real-world experience in shaping future careers.

Floyd’s Truck Center is committed to supporting educational programs that prepare students for successful careers, and we are thrilled to see young talent like Carter Flowers thrive in the diesel technology field.
