Floyd's Truck Center Employee Kealan Hawley Honored for Heroic Rescue of Sheriff’s Deputy

Floyd’s Truck Center proudly acknowledges the heroic actions of our employee, Kealan Hawley, who was honored with a Life Savers Award for his role in rescuing a Scottsbluff County Sheriff’s deputy from a burning vehicle.

On April 18, Kealan, along with Keagan Shifflett and Robert Regester, rushed to the aid of Deputy Josh Ruzicka after his patrol car crashed and caught fire on Highway 71. Despite the danger, the trio worked quickly to break the vehicle’s windows and pull Deputy Ruzicka to safety, moments before the car exploded.

The Nebraska State Patrol and Scottsbluff County Sheriff’s Office recognized their bravery in a ceremony at NSP Troop E Headquarters in Scottsbluff. Floyd’s Truck Center is honored to have such a courageous and selfless individual as part of our team.
